Three dancers from Inveraray have won an impressive haul of medals at the Dunedin Highland Games in Florida.
Five-year-old Hannah McDonald won four medals, including three golds, after working exceptionally hard to master her Highland fling and sword dance for the US event on April 11.
Hannah’s older sister, 10-year-old Emily Wood, won a trophy for achieving the highest points in her section. She also secured three gold medals and one silver at Highlander Park in Dunedin.
Eight-year-old Primrose Campbell picked up two silver medals, contributing to a successful overall performance for the Margaret Rose School of Dance

A school spokesperson said on social media: “It was an unforgettable trip filled with lifelong memories, and huge praise goes to the dancers, who acted as amazing ambassadors for Highland dancing.”
The Helensburgh-based school was established in 1972 and is widely renowned as one of Scotland’s premier dance groups

School teacher Margaret McInnes BEM described the trip as a “fabulous success” and an “amazing experience” for everyone involved
.
Ms McInnes was awarded the British Empire Medal for her contribution to the craft in Queen Elizabeth II’s 2020 Honours List.
