Discover the wonders of three Scottish islands in one day!
Journey through the stunning scenery of the Isle of Mull, delve into the ancient history of Iona then onto the unique Isle of Staffa to see the geological wonders of Fingal’s Cave and, until early August, the opportunity to see its nesting puffins.
The Three Isles Tour departs at 09:55 from Oban Ferry Terminal on the CalMac ferry, crossing the Firth of Lorn to Craignure on Mull where you join your coach. On the coach journey, you’ll hear fascinating commentary about the beautiful scenery you’re travelling through and the history of the island. The route through Mull is via Glen More to Fionnphort where you board the ferry for the Isle of Staffa. After landing on Staffa and visiting Fingal’s Cave, we sail south to the Isle of Iona. Visit Iona Abbey, the Benedictine nunnery and the Reilig Oran – the burial place of kings.

Duart Castle proudly guards the sea cliffs of the Isle of Mull, while enjoying one of the most spectacular and unique positions on the West Coast of Scotland.
Brought back from ruin in 1911, the castle treasures 800 years of history of one of Scotland’s oldest clans, the Macleans, and is one of the last surviving privately owned Clan Castles in Scotland.
In addition to its historical significance, the castle also features a delightful tearoom which prides itself on serving Isle of Mull produce, locally sourced or grown in their walled garden. There’s also a gift shop for visitors to enjoy which sells lots of Clan McLean gifts and products from local artists and producers.
This all-inclusive tour combines your ferry travel from Oban to Craignure on the Isle of Mull, bus travel to Duart Castle, and entry to the castle to explore its rich history and fascinating stories.
There are two departures, daily for this tour:

Departing from Oban Ferry Terminal on the CalMac ferry, you will sail to Craignure, Mull. Our West Coast Motors coach and friendly driver will meet you at Craignure for a tour through the island’s spectacular scenery towards Fionnphort, where you will take the ferry and sail to Iona.
You will have two hours to soak up Iona’s peace and tranquillity as well as discovering its stunning beaches and awe-inspiring history. We recommend a visit to the Benedictine Nunnery, the Reilig Oran and Iona Abbey.

Enjoy the picturesque village of Tobermory, famous for its coloured houses as well as magical Staffa, home of the awe-inspiring Fingal’s Cave.
The tour departs from the Ferry Terminal Railway Pier, Oban on Caledonian MacBrayne’s MV Isle of Mull, crossing the Firth of Lorn to Craignure on Mull where you join your West Coast Motors bus which will take you to Tobermory. Once in Tobermory, you will head to the Staffa Tours boat in Tobermory Marina which will take you to Staffa. Sailing via the North Coast of Mull to the magical island of Staffa, you will have approximately one hour to explore Fingal’s Cave and walk along its clifftops before sailing back to Tobermory. Arriving back in Tobermory, you will then have several hours before joining your coach which will take you back to Craignure to catch the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry back to Oban.

Visit unspoilt islands in this ultimate tour for wildlife and natural history lovers. A fantastic array of birds can be spotted, including razorbills, guillemots, fulmars, storm petrels, kittiwakes, herring gulls, and shags – not forgetting the star attraction of the much-loved Puffin colony. As we sail there is also an abundance of marine wildlife to spot including seals, dolphins, porpoises and even whales!
You will depart from Oban Ferry Terminal on the CalMac ferry to Craignure, Mull. Then, travel by coach to Fionnphort via Glen More and the south shore of Loch Scridain. From Fionnphort you will take a boat trip to discover the islands’ abundant wildlife. This includes time ashore on Staffa, Lunga and Iona.

Discover picturesque Tobermory, the abundant wildlife of Treshnish and the geological wonders of Fingal’s Cave on Staffa!
The uninhabited Treshnish Isles are a haven for wildlife and a fantastic place to see not only an abundance of nesting seabirds but the colourful, comical Puffins up close! You will be amazed at their characters and just how inquisitive they are.
Staffa is home to the awe-inspiring Fingal’s Cave! Marvel at its unique structure – a sea cave formed completely in hexagonally jointed basalt. Staffa is also perfect for meeting the nesting Puffins, congregating on the cliffs from early May to the start of August.
Tobermory is a vibrant, popular town, famous for its colourful houses and shop fronts! Enjoy exploring this picturesque town and sampling the local delights from its bustling restaurants, cafes and shops.
Your itinerary
The tour departs from the Ferry Terminal Railway Pier, Oban on Caledonian MacBrayne’s MV Isle of Mull, crossing the Firth of Lorn to Craignure on Mull where you join your West Coast Motors bus which will take you to Tobermory. On arrival in Tobermory, you will head to the Staffa Tours boat in the Marina, adjacent to the coach terminal, where you will depart for The Treshnish Isles. You will then spend approximately 2 hours on The Treshnish Isles before setting sail for Staffa where you will have approximately one hour to explore before sailing back to Tobermory. Arriving in Tobermory, you will then have around 1 hour and a half before joining your coach which will take you back to Craignure to catch the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry back to Oban.

Staffa is undergoing essential improvement work on its jetty and visitor staircase until the end of May 2025. Access to Staffa will be restricted during this period. Staff Tours will continue to visit the area, but visitors will not be able to disembark.
