Strathlachlan Community Centre has received a five-figure funding boost from a UK-wide fund.
The centre was awarded £14,970 from The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF), with the money earmarked for essential repairs and maintenance.
In an announcement in the Strachur Newsletter, the centre said it was “extremely grateful” for the support, which will make a “significant difference”.
Established in 1986 in the former Strathlachlan Primary School, the centre is run by volunteers for the benefit of the community and hosts an active programme of events throughout the year.
The NLCF distributes money raised by National Lottery players to support charity and community projects across the UK.
The fund aims to distribute around £4 billion by 2030.
Organisations can apply for funding ranging from £300 to £20,000.
