The weather played its part for the Dunaverty Golf Club Ladies’ Captain’s Fun Day on Sunday, January 18, offering sunshine and a light breeze despite the winter chill.
Lady Captain Linn Coffield organised a successful nine-hole Texas Scramble for a field of 20 golfers, ranging from absolute beginners to seasoned players.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a “Dingbat”-style quiz kept participants on their toes both in the clubhouse and at each tee box.
Following the action on the course, the group was joined by fellow club members for a two-course lunch provided by Moyra Paterson and the team at The Putt Stop.
The day also featured a raffle in aid of the Mairi Semple Cancer Fund, which raised a magnificent £200 for the charity.
Captain Coffield thanked everyone for their support and presented prizes to the day’s winners.
She offered special thanks to Lorna Cook and Katharine Hardman for their help in organising the event, and to The Putt Stop team for the excellent hospitality.
