Whitehouse Village Hall was filled with songs, stories and laughter on Saturday, February 7, as it played host to the Hebridean Baker, Coinneach MacLeod, and the Highland Hutter, Peter MacQueen.
The duo – both best-selling authors and television personalities – delighted the Kintyre crowd with tales of their childhoods, their famous dogs, and their favourite recipes.

They also shared “behind-the-scenes” anecdotes from their television careers and celebrity encounters.
The interactive evening brightened a “dreich” February night, featuring community sing-alongs, a lively questions and answer session, and book signings.
A spokesperson for West Kintyre Promotions CIC, which organised the event, said: “We were approached by Dorothy from Whitehouse Hall committee about bringing Coinneach to Kintyre and we were delighted to explore that possibility.
“It was a really enjoyable evening with Coinneach and Peter, and it was nice to have the event sold out in advance.
“As usual, we have to thank our team of volunteers who work so hard to make the show look and sound great.
“Thanks also to Peter and Coinneach for taking the time to come to Kintyre, in the midst of a UK tour and some huge things still to come for both! It would be lovely to welcome them back sometime.”
