Local plumbers and heating engineers have a rare opportunity to future-proof their business at a heavily discounted rate by signing up for a new Air Source Heat Pump training course, coming to UHI Argyll Lochgilphead in March.
With demand for renewable heating rising fast, customers are actively seeking local tradespeople who can install and maintain air source heat pump systems. The programme is designed to help qualified plumbers and heating engineers expand their services and future-proof their business, while minimising time away from work.
The training will run from 9th to 13th March 2026 at UHI Argyll’s Construction, Engineering and Renewables Centre (CERC), on the Kilmory Industrial Estate in Lochgilphead, using a fully equipped mobile heat pump training unit.
Over five days, participants will complete a comprehensive package covering Water Regulations, Heat Pumps, and Unvented Hot Water systems.
On successful completion, participants will gain BPEC-recognised qualifications aligned with MCS competence requirements.
