Alba FA Men’s Team regroup for a football match at Mod Loch Abar after a 3-0 defeat to Kernow FA in this summer’s Celtic Nations Cup. With thanks
to An Comunn Gaidhealach, the team will come together again, not only to train, but to take part in the wider celebration of Gaelic language, culture, and identity at the Mod.

Thòisich Graeme MacDiarmid e Gàidheil Ghlaschu, a’ chiad sgioba Gàidhlig airson òigridh an Alba, agus fhuair e an dà geall-dùbhlain LearnGaelic is Mòd Ghlaschu airson boireannaich is òigridh. Tha e na neach-ionnsachaidh, agus na bhall coisre agus na dheagh roghainn airson Ceann-feachd na Camanachd ann an Loch Abar 2025, ’s a’ coimhead air adhart ri Mòd Ghlaschu ann an 2026.
A Lochaber man who played for Fort William before moving to the Strathclyde Police team. He was instrumental in setting up Glasgow Gaels, the first team for Gaelic youth in Scotland and secured the LearnGaelic Trophy and Mod Ghlaschu Trophy for women and youth shinty. A Gaelic learner and a keen choir member, Graeme is a fantastic ambassador and choice as Shinty Chieftain for 2025 as well as one eye on Mòd Ghlaschu in 2026.

An evening of music and dance showcasing the wealth of talent Lochaber has to offer. This promises to be a fantastic night’s entertainment
with music from local pipe bands and Gaelic choirs, the Lochaber Strathspey & Reel Society, the Feis Lochabair Ceilidh Trail and Ardnamurchan High School’s trod group “Sealladh”.
There will also be some fabulous steps from the Jane Douglas School of Dance and, at the heart of proceedings, a house-band of top Lochaber musicians Ewen Henderson, Rachel Walker, Angus Nicolson, Ross Martin and Robert Nairn.
