The A83 closed outside Inveraray yesterday after a car burst into flames just before Aray Bridge.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.31pm on Tuesday May 7, to reports of a car on fire on the A83 at Inveraray bridge.
"Operations Control immediately mobilised one appliance to the scene and firefighters extinguished the fire.
"There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene at 5.04pm after ensuring the area was made safe."
The road fully reopened in both directions after the vehicle was removed at 6.30pm.
It is currently unknown what caused the fire to start.
