Police have had a busy time across Oban in the last few weeks. Here is a round-up of incidents they have been called to.
A man was arrested after failing a roadside drug test for cannabis whilst waiting to board the Isle of Mull ferry at Oban Harbour.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon and the suspect was conveyed to Oban Police Station, where blood samples were taken
for toxicological analysis.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, once the results are analysed.
A thug who assaulted a police officer at the Railway Pier in Oban has escaped with a recorded warning.
The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 23-year-old male was released after accepting the offer.
A 21-year-old male driver was cautioned and charged with driving without valid insurance after being stopped on Combie Street in Oban on December 31.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police are looking for vandals who drew offensive images on the frosted grass of the bowling green on Dalriach Road in Oban.
The incident took place in the run up to Hogmanay.

Police were called to a disturbance at an address on Beinn Lora Drive in Benderloch on Hogmanay - and made a series of arrests.
The first was an 18-year-old car driver, who was charged with failing to provide details under Section 172 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, drink
driving, driving with a provisional licence, driving with no insurance, driving without a valid MOT and threatening and abusive behaviour. He was released on an undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date. A 21-year-old male was also charged with threatening and abusive behaviour and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 37-year-old female was arrested and reported to the fiscal for three police assaults and resisting arrest, while a 40-year-old male was later arrested and charged with breach of bail. He was released on an undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date.
Between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on December 31, a man was seen purchasing alcohol from the Day2Day shop on Oban’s Station Road for a youngster under the age of 18.
Police are investigating and say they are following a positive line of enquiry in their efforts to trace him.
A 55-year-old male driver was arrested on New Year’s Day after failing to provide a specimen of breath.
Officers say he was visibly under the influence of alcohol when stopped on Main Street in Connel.
He was conveyed to Oban Police Station, where he again refused to provide a specimen of breath. The male was cautioned and charged accordingly, and released on an undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date.
An 80-year-old male driver was issued a non-endorsable conditional offer for driving without insurance when stopped on Ganavan Road in Oban on the afternoon of January 3.
Police made a number of arrests after receiving a report of dogs chasing hares at Tiree Airport on January 2.
Following enquiries, an 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were traced in a vehicle on the A85 near to Dalmally, and arrested and charged with Section 1 of the Hunting with Dogs Act 2003, as well as attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Both were released on undertakings to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date, with special conditions not to enter the Isle of Tiree.
The 48-year-old female driver of the vehicle they were traced in was cautioned and charged with driving a vehicle in contravention of a
prohibition notice under the Road Traffic Act. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
