Roy Bridge mountain biker Mikayla Parton will join 24 of the worlds best riders this weekend when she takes part in the prestigious Red Bull Hardline Tasmania.
Mikayla grew up in Roy Bridge and attended Roy Bridge Primary School before moving on to Lochaber High School.
She began riding in 2015 and went on to enter her first race in 2016. She stepped up to the World Cup circuit in 2019 and hasn’t looked back.
"Coming from a small place doesn’t have to be a limitation — there are huge opportunities around Fort William for mountain biking and a wide range of other sports if you’re willing to commit and chase it," she told us.
