Member campsites from across the Highlands gathered in Inverness for the Highland Caravan & Campsites Association’s (HCCA) first Annual General Meeting.
Celebrated as a landmark moment the event marked a significant step forward in uniting independent operators under a shared vision for sustainable, community-focused tourism.
The AGM brought together site owners and managers who are deeply rooted in their local areas and committed to protecting the landscapes that make the Highlands one of the world’s most cherished outdoor destinations.
Members reaffirmed the Association’s mission to promote responsible tourism, support rural economies, and ensure fair and consistent regulation across the region.
Discussions throughout the day highlighted the essential role that independent caravan and camping parks play in sustaining employment, supporting local businesses, and offering visitors low-impact, nature-based experiences.
Members also explored collaborative approaches to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and long-term sector resilience.
A spokesperson for the Association said: "The AGM brought our member campsites together with a shared sense of pride and purpose.
"These are businesses that care deeply about their communities and the environment.
"Their commitment to sustainable tourism is at the heart of what makes the Highlands such a special place to live, work, and visit."
The Association will continue to work closely with its members, local communities, and sector partners to strengthen responsible tourism practices and ensure that independent campsites remain a cornerstone of the Highlands visitor economy.
