It was a case of same again for Lochside Rovers and Uddingston when they were paired together in the first round of the Bullough Cup.
However, whilst Lochside had home advantage last year when they won 4-1 at Ganavan thanks to braces from Lewis Buchanan and Jordan Kerr, they will this time travel to The Stepps Playing Fields to face the side who finished fourth in Mowi North Division 2 last season.
Lochside Rovers assistant manager Duncan MacMillan said: “Yes, it’s Uddingston again. We won last year but that was at our place, and we could see that they are a very well organised side. We’ll give them our full attention when the time comes.”
Lochside last won the Bullough Cup in 2024 when they beat Bute 2-0 in the final and they want the trophy back. Duncan MacMillan added: “We were speaking about the Bullough the other day and it’s definitely one we want to win again. There are plenty of games before then though and we’ll just focus on one game at a time as usual.”
Current holders Glasgow Mid Argyll, who beat Lochside Rovers 3-1 in last year’s final at Strachurmore, open the defence of their trophy with a tricky tie against Kyles Athletic at Tighnabruaich.
