Cases of sickness and diarrhoea closed both wards at Fort William’s Belford Hospital last week, but one has since reopened.
Both ward one and the combined assessment unit temporarily stopped accepting new admissions due to an outbreak of norovirus, NHS Highland said on May 6.
"We have had to close both wards in Belford Hospital to new admissions due to Norovirus," it announced.
"Restricted visiting is also in place but please contact staff on the ward if you feel your visit is necessary and they will be able to advise.
"We would also ask that if you or someone you live with has symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting you refrain from visiting a health or social care setting until clear for 48hrs."
NHS Highland updated on May 12: "The Combined Assessment Unit has reopened. Ward 1 remains closed and restrictions in place."
