The Oban Ravens battled through wind, rain and hail at their charity car wash this weekend.
Despite the sour weather across both days the mood was high as cars lined up at Oban Filling Station to get squeaky clean.
Drivers were highly generous, with almost all giving more than the £5 minimum, with more donations being made inside the filling station.
The car wash raised just shy of £800, with a further £200 raised from raffle tickets and other donations to bring the total to £1000. The money raised will be evenly split between the Ravens’ running costs and Diabetes UK, a charity close to many of the members hearts.
The Ravens’ fundraising efforts return on April 11 when they set up a stall in Tesco, and on April 17 they host their bingo night at the Royal Hotel, where the raffle will also be drawn.
