It was a star line-up of Spidey, Pac-Man, Mario, Stitch, and Bumblebee at Fort William’s debut Comic Con on Saturday, bringing the vibrant world of ’geek culture’ to the Highlands.
The Nevis Centre was turned into a playground for gamers, collectors, and families, with of free-to-play arcade machines, giant inflatables, a collection of iconic movie props, and meet-and-greets, where fans could take photos with iconic characters from pop culture.
The event featured an expansive ’Geek Market’ with dozens of specialist traders selling everything from comics and graphic novels to action figures, Pokémon cards, LEGO, and rare collectables.
Organisers hoped to see the community turn out in their best costumes to meet their heroes, and they would not have been disappointed by the heroic efforts on display.
