Oban’s new Home Bargains store officially has its opening date.
The budget retailer will be bringing big deals to the town beginning Saturday May 16, almost 18 months after it closed as Homebase went into administration.
For the last six months, work has been ongoing on a major interior refit of the store which was entirely stripped back to a shell, with exterior changes to its layout also taking place.
The Lochavullin Road store is also looking for more staff. Management roles have been filled, but more store team members are being sought.
Home Bargains in Oban will feature a cafe and garden centre alongside its regular stock, which includes homeware, groceries, gardenware, clothing, toiletries and more. The store has also obtained its alcohol license from Argyll and Bute Council.
