We.R.Soul are set to bring their signature energy and big-band sound back to the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival (MOKFest) this year.
The popular local band will return to the Victoria Hall stage for the Kilkerran Survivors Night concert on Sunday, August 23 – a highlight of the festival which celebrates the strength and spirit of Kintyre’s homegrown talent.
We.R.Soul join an already strong line-up including Slainte Davaar Allstars, Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, and Jim and Joanne Swan, with more acts still to be announced.
After a year away from the event, We.R.Soul’s return will be warmly welcomed by festival audiences.
The band has delivered some memorable performances over the years, cementing its place as one of MOKFest’s most popular acts.
Blending experienced local musicians with emerging talent, We.R.Soul are known for their powerful vocals, tight rhythm section and vibrant horn arrangements that never fail to get the crowd moving.
This year’s performance will feature a brand-new set, packed with feel-good favourites sure to get everyone on dance floor.
The five-day MOKFest has seven ticketed concerts, headlined by artists including Skipinnish, Blazin’ Fiddles, Kathleen MacInnes with Mike Vass, Ímar, The Haggis Chasers Ceilidh Band, Slainte Davaar Allstars, Archie McAllister and Friends - Sileas Sinclair, Arran McAllister and Alasdair Murray, Kintyre Schools Pipe Band and Che Martin.
Tickets are available online at www.mokfest.com – where there is more information about the festival – or locally from AP Taylor on Campbeltown’s Main Street.
