Have you ever woken up knowing that no matter what the day brought, you were going to be fine?
Peace is a wonderful feeling, we know it when we have it, and we all want more of it.
But finding this peace can be challenging, especially when we find ourselves weighed down by the troubles of the world.
Finding peace in the midst of a health scare or a relationship struggle or an unexpected crisis, can be difficult to experience.
How do you find peace for your daily life or in the midst of difficult situations? What do you do or use or rely on to find peace for your life?
In John 14 v 27, Jesus says: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
In this text, Jesus doesn’t promise that we won’t have trouble; he reminds us that we weren’t designed to carry the weight of our troubles, God can.
And so, when we have God on our side, we can experience peace.
This unshakable peace comes from knowing God and trusting Him with every detail of our lives, like sheep in the care of a good Shepherd.
No matter the things we go through, we have someone watching over us, and even though we can’t always see it, we are secure.
God’s peace is available to all of us; we just have to humble ourselves and allow Him to run our daily lives.
When last did you humble yourself before God and surrender your life to Him?
