The visitors made a quick start to the second half, with Robert Lowrie pulling a goal back a minute after the restart, but Col Glen’s response was perfect as Cally McNaughton made it 3-1 straight from the restart.
Chris Blair was on target to add a fourth a minute after the hour, with Jamie MacVicar increasing their count on 81 minutes.
There was some consolation for Bute against their higher league opponents when Josh Cowan made it 5-2 a minute from time.
Col-Glen named Somhairle Fraser as the player of the match.

Inveraray 6
Kyles Athletic 3
Inveraray shocked their higher league opponents as they came from behind to beat Kyles Athletic 6-3 in their 3pm throw-up at The Winterton.
Kyles Athletic’s James Forgrieve missed out as he was finally able to serve his one-match suspension.
It started well enough for Kyles as Scott MacDonald on 5 minutes and Luke Thornton on 11 minutes had them two up.
However, Inveraray found a quick response as Fraser Watt opened their account on 14 minutes, and it remained 2-1 until the interval.
When referee Craig Scott awarded Inveraray a penalty on 55 minutes, Fraser Watt stepped up to score his second goal of the game and make it 2-2.
There was a key moment in the tie around the hour when Coll MacKay struck twice on 60 and 62 minutes.
Dunkie Kerr reduced the deficit to 4-3 on 70 minutes; however, Inveraray weren’t to be denied, and, to the delight of the home support, Ruaraidh Graham (Jnr) on 80 minutes and a hat-trick goal from Coll MacKay on 86 minutes made it 6-3 to send the home side into the last four of the competition.
Inveraray’s management team were delighted after the game and praised the way the boys came back into the game, as well as how well they played as a team to come back from two goals down to book a semi-finals spot against Oban Camanachd.
Inveraray play at Mossfield in the semi-finals on May 23.
This Saturday, Inveraray have a Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup first round tie against Bute at The Meadows, whilst Kyles Athletic have a Mowi Premiership encounter with Kinlochshiel at Tighnabruaich.

Chieftain’s Cup - First Round
Ballachulish 1
Kilmory 0
Ballachulish beat an understrength Kilmory, who were playing, due to work, injury and suspensions, for the 90 mins with 10 players at The Jubilee Park.
Kilmory’s Craig Gilmour was amongst the visitors’ absentees as he started a three-game ban.
The team rose to the challenge with 100 per cent effort from the first minute right through the game.
Kilmory had the better of the first half playing down the slope forcing the Balla’ keeper into three excellent saves.
Naturally fatigue started to have an impact in the second half but every player on the pitch gave their all.
The winning goal was an own goal last touch on 55 minutes coming off a Kilmory defender.
"The team should be immensely proud of their performance and lots of positives for our young squad to continue to work on," said a spokesperson for the club.
"Thanks to Ballachulish for the game and excellent post match hospitality and to referee Craig Harrower who officiated in a professional manner. Best wishes to Ballachulish in the next round."
At the end of the game, both club captains were presented with a trophy to mark the 25th anniversary of Ballachulish’s Clubhouse opening, when Kilmory were the first opponents to use the facilities all those years ago.

Section 4
Strachur-Dunoon 6
Tayforth 0
Strachur-Dunoon booked their place in the next round of the Sutherland Cup with a convincing 6-0 win against Tayforth at a sunny Strachurmore.
Steven Thomson opened the scoring after five minutes before Ken Lawns grabbed his second of the season with a well-taken effort to double our lead.
Strachur-Dunoon dominated possession but couldn’t get past the stubborn Tayforth back-line. They eventually found their third on the 50-minute mark when Steven bagged a brace with another smart finish.
Substitute Liam Robertson made an instant impact at full-forward when he flicked in Strachur-Dunoon’s fourth goal of the afternoon from a very tight angle.
Two minutes later, Hunter Black got the pick of the bunch with a cracking first-time effort into the top corner to make it five, before Brandon Wilson rounded off an excellent performance from the boys with a powerful strike making it 6-0 on the day.
Next Saturday it is back to league business, as Strachur-Dunoon travel down to Glasgow to face league leaders Uddingston - a tough assignment, but the Blues are looking forward to testing themselves against this year’s in-form team.

Mowi National League
Aberdour 5
Dunadd 8
Dunadd headed east today to take on Aberdour in the National League. Both teams had excellent cup wins last weekend so it was sure to be a close affair.
Dunadd were first to draw blood, taking a 3 goal lead in the opening 15 minutes, with Rosie MacDonald starting sharp, striking two and Eilidh Cameron securing her first of the day.
However, after a goal keeping error, Aberdour managed to get one back.
After the water break, it was Aberdour who continued to press and had two excellent finishes to draw even.
Dunadd still had perhaps the majority of possession and territory and so when Cameron snatched a her well taken 2nd, it seemed right that the away team were 3-4 up at halftime.
Going downhill in the 2nd half, Dunadd took the game to Aberdour and quickly scored, Cameron again, making it 3-5.
Dunadd kept their foot on the gas and this time it was Kathryn Morley taking up a great position and scoring her first league goal for the club with a well placed finish.
Aberdour did not let their heads go down though, and continued to prove themselves deadly on the break, scoring two from distance, making it 5-5.
With nerves jangling, Dunadd did well to steady things and continue to press; the pressure paid off and they edged into a 5-6 lead with Cameron netting again.
Thankfully in the closing minutes, the prolific goalscorer went on to score two more goals, making it 5-8. Surely a contender for top goal scorer of the season
After the game, a Dunadd spokesperson said: "With quite a few players playing out of position, this was an excellent result for the squad. The Aberdour keeper pulled off a string of saves, keeping the scoreline tight and Anna Nicolson and Ailsa Crawford both had excellent games against the strong ’Dour forwards."
Strathglass 7
Inveraray 5
Strathglass beat Inveraray 7-5 in their 1.30pm throw-up at Cannich.
Isla Strachan scored four times for the hosts, Cassie Dorrian twice, and Holly Forbes-Williams the other.
