Plans have been lodged for two short-term let accommodation units with a sauna and hot tub on Tiree.
Donald Brown has submitted the proposal to Argyll and Bute Council for the site southeast of An Lon Ban, in West Hynish.
A report submitted with the application highlighted the views from the site towards Skerryvore Lighthouse, as well as the opportunity to spot several animals in the wild.
The council is expected to rule on the application by late March, with the public now able to view the plans and submit feedback.
A design and access statement by S2 Architecture said: “The Isle of Tiree offers a wide range of natural, cultural and recreational assets that underpin its strong appeal as a visitor destination.
“The island is characterised by expansive sandy beaches, a low-lying landscape and high levels of sunshine, creating an attractive setting for outdoor recreation.
“Its reliable Atlantic conditions support nationally recognised water-based activities including surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and paddle-sports.
“The gentle topography and quiet road network also make Tiree well-suited to walking and cycling, allowing residents and visitors to explore the machair, coastline and varied habitats with ease.
“The proposed site is located a short distance from Tiree Airport on the south of the island, with open views towards Skerryvore Lighthouse and close proximity to the Tiree Distillery.
“Balephuil Beach, one of the island’s most renowned locations for water sports is within a 10 minute walk, while Hynish and the prehistoric fort at Dùn na Cleite are a brief drive away, offering further opportunities for walking, heritage exploration and wildlife viewing, including dolphins, otters and coastal bird species.
“Tourist accommodation on Tiree currently includes small hotels, guest houses, self-catering cottages, hostels and designated camping areas.
“This provision is modest but varied, reflecting the island’s rural character and seasonal tourism patterns. The proposed holiday lodge and associated cabin would complement existing options by providing high-quality, year-round accommodation in a desirable location for families and couples, supporting the continued growth and diversification of the local tourism economy.”
