Beinn Dearg (1008m, Munro) - red hill
Carn a’ Chlamain (963m, Munro) - hill of the kite
For most people these two remote hills are two separate days’ expeditions.
They are separated by 7km as the crow flies across wild, remote terrain. The day lends itself well to a bike and hike option.
In a day a walk to Carn a’ Chlamain is possible and with the help of a bike Beinn Dearg is an option.
If the fast and fit on foot and bike want a challenge, it should be possible to bike in to both in a long
summer’s day, but it necessitates returning almost back to the start, then riding out again.
Not for the faint hearted!
29km, 1037m ascent – Beinn Dearg
27km, 930m ascent – Carn a’ Chlamain
53km, 1900m ascent – Both Munros
