After a resounding success in 2024, Mull Fiddle Week is set to return in 2025, running from 28th July to 1st August, and promises another unforgettable celebration of traditional music, community, and creativity on the beautiful Isle of Mull.
Curated once again by acclaimed Scottish fiddler and educator Patsy Reid, the week will feature a stellar line-up of musicians and teachers from near and far. French fiddler Vincent Leutreau brings his distinctive style and teaching flair; Lauren MacColl, one of the Highland’s most sought-after fiddlers, returns to share her stunning technique and knowledge; and renowned accordionist and composer John Somerville will lead exciting group work and mixed-instrument classes.
For cellists, there’s a special treat as the brilliant Natalie Haas, known worldwide for her pioneering role in Celtic cello, will lead the cello class. And as a fresh addition this year, participants can unwind and stretch out with daily yoga sessions, led by Mull-based instructor Flora MacFadyen.
Music fills every corner of Tobermory throughout the week, with concerts, ceilidhs, and sessions every evening. As a special highlight, the internationally recognised band Scottish Fish from Boston will drop in to perform as part of the celebrations.
Mull Fiddle Week is once again proudly supported by the Western Isles Hotel, which will host daytime workshops, evening sessions, and is even offering special discounts on food and drink—rumour has it there’s even a custom Mull Fiddle Week cocktail on the menu!
Although lessons are sold out, concert/ceilidh tickets are available on the door of events and in advance at www.mullfiddleweek.com
Any musicians wishing to attend in 2026, booking will be open in a couple of weeks so stay tuned on the website.
